Finding Warmth: A Study in Yellow

Posted on February 26, 2011 by

After a day of biking in a snowstorm — practically unheard of in Portland — I was delighted at the early rays of sunshine that shone through my window this morning. The air is bitter cold, but the sky is blue and the sun sneaks its way through the branches.

In my layers of wool, I find myself pining for spring. For the colors to return, for farmers market to start, for afternoon rides with bare arms.

And so to break the cold of winter, a travel through old photos. Looking for the ones that remind me of warmer days. Of longer afternoons.

A photographic ode to all things yellow.
